Re: Powerpoint link not working
Dear Steve or Richard, I'm having a funny issue with trying to paste link some graphs from EViews into PowerPoint. Trying to paste into the same PowerPoint file I find that it works for graphs in one workfile but not another. In the instances that it works the option to paste link is available to me...

Plot links at workfile frequency
Good morning EViews Team & Users, I'm trying to graph two series at a quarterly frequency. One series is on a quarterly basis and one is using data linked to another tab where this data is on a daily basis. The following helpful Eviews page explains how the default setting is to plot data for th...

Re: Square root of negative number
Good morning, I've noticed there are many forum entries regarding 'Square root of negative number' errors in a GARCH context. However, I've run into this error when trying to create Impulse Response Functions from a Mixed Frequency VAR. Can anyone explain why this may be? I've attached the workfile ...

Re: Bug using Eviews 11 and the excel add-in
Dear Steve, I updated to Eviews 11 this week and just tried to use the Excel add-in. However, I encountered an error message (see attached doc) when trying to do so. It looks like there was some issue with the deployment of the add-in and (perhaps) Eviews 11 is trying to access the Eviews 10 add-in ...

Re: Running Kalman filter with initial data
Hello, I have specified initial conditions also and was able to successfully run the state space equation once. However, when I tried to repeat the feat I got an error saying "Missing value found in state innovation vector." I'm not sure I consciously changed anything so would appreciate a...

Re: Dummy Variables
Hi guys, I'm looking to create a dummy variable for an ordered probit model which takes the value of: - 1 if variable_A is <2 - 2 if variable_A is =>2 and =<2.50 - 3 if variable_A is =>2.50 and =<3.00 - 4 if variable_A is >3 I tried all sorts of techniques using the recode function but wasn't able t...

Formula for working out change in data series
Hi,
Wondering if someone knew and could help me find an expression to calculate the three month change (actual change, not percentage change) in a monthly data series? I had a search online and in the programming user guide but couldn't work it out. Thanks so much!

Michael Anthonisz

Seasonal adjutment of multiple series
Hi guys, Wondering if someone knew how to seaosnally adjust multiple series at the same in EViews? The User Guide gives instructions on how to do it for one series at a time but I have 50 series that I'd like to seasonally adjust all at once rather than doing each individually. Appreciate any help y...
