Re: Descriptions
The series ygdpmp in the attached workfile was entered manually with no associated description. When it is re-imported via the excel file, the description does not appear for that series but a description does appear for the other series (ygdpmp2007cf) when it is imported via the same excel file. It...

Descriptions
I am importing data into EViews from an excel file and I would like to import the associated descriptions. Some of the series are new and others were initially created in an EViews program file which did not include the descriptions. The descriptions are importing for all the new series but not for ...

COPYING DATA
I am using EViews 9 and when I use the show command to display a group of series and then copy the data into excel, any series which have NAs in them do not paste correctly. The column headings in the excel file get mixed up. Is there a default setting in EViews that can be changed to fix this probl...

Re: Add Factors
I used the drop down option from the models follows:
1) Proc/Add Factors/Add Factor Assignment/All Stochastic Equations/Equation Intercept (Residual Shift) and then
2) Proc/Add Factors/set Add Factors so all equations have no residual at actives\smpl @all/applying to all baseline factors

Add Factors
I am trying to use add factors in order to have my model solve correctly for history but doesn't seem to be working. The add factors are created but the sum of the solved value and the add factor for a given time period does not equal the actual historical value for that period. Can you provide any ...

Re: Moving Average
I was using mav rather movav. The difference seems to be that with mav the averages are not propagated and with movav they are propagated. Can you explain the meaning of this term in its EViews context?

Moving Average
I would like to use a moving average of a series as an independent variable in an OLS equation but EViews does not seem to allow it. I can get around this by putting in a long hand calculation equal to the moving average but this is very cumbersome. Is there a way around this problem?

Splicing Old and Revised Data
Is there an Eviews command that performs the same function as the Aremos splice command?
